July 17-21, 2016 at East Carolina University, Greenville NC

The interactive four-day institute utilizes the latest research on achieving collective impact for equitable and excellent schools. With a focus on effective professional learning and key leadership lessons from practice, participants achieve customized outcomes.

Re-imagine how professional learning can look for you and your schools and community. As a participant, you can expect to:
  • Renew your spirit by embracing practices of reflection, dialogue, and action 
  • Honor community wisdom and the power of place by actively learning from and with communities 
  • Practice useful and transferable strategies to engage in necessary conversations about race, class, and equity
  • Practice cross sector school-community leadership that magnifies collective impact
  • Partner with a coach from the national faculty before, during, and after the learning exchange to develop and implement plans that support equitable outcomes for your school, district and community

Who Should Attend:

  • School- and community-based teams including school leaders, teachers, counselors, parent leaders or coordinators, and nonprofit partners 
  • District- and community-based leaders, including superintendents, leadership coaches, professional development coordinators, other central office administrators
  • Cross-sector leaders involved in community schools and collective impact initiatives, university partners, school board members, and other education stakeholders
  • Individual participants are welcome and will join role-alike groups

Registration includes:

  • Opening Night reception 
  • Four days of engaging and interactive learning with faculty, community, and colleagues from across the country
  • On campus lodging (two bedroom suites are air conditioned and share a bathroom and sitting area)
  • Transportation to and from the Greenville, North Carolina airport, closing night traditional Carolina barbeque, and all breakfast and lunches
  • Continuing Education Credits from East Carolina University

Registration Fees:

$1400 - Each Team Member Participant

$1500 - Individual Participants
