About Jon

I'm grateful for the opportunity to be part of the project and to be a contributor to this site and making it relevant and meaningful to its members. I'm passionate about how communities can make just and lasting change. I was brought up that way by my parents - my they rest in peace- and it has led to a meaningful life. I'm also a musician so I look at life through that lens. If we all learned how to sing with each other we'd go along way towards learning how to live together. I know it's naïve but that doesn't mean it's not true!

I'm blessed with a fabulous life partner have been married for 28 years. Heres a picture of Tova with our two daughters Alison and Sophie.

Here is a leadership scan that Leadership Learning Community and Center for Ethical Leadership did for the Kellogg Foundation. It highlights leadership work on racial equity.

I want to post a scan of leadership programs working on racial equity. It is not required reading, but more of a supplemental piece. Where should I post this? How do I post this?

Hi Jon,
Here's some content we might use to give people a brief description of the site/Community Learning Exchange program:
We envision a world in which community challenges are addressed, not by individuals, but by groups of local residents working together for sustainable change in 21st Century settings. Unlike conventional learning institutions, which may be grounded in traditional pedagogy and offer a curriculum delivered by credentialed experts and supported by academic texts, the Community Learning Exchange views communities and people as the new instructors and texts for learning. It encourages community change agents to share actions, practices, ideas and outcomes with one another in environments that respect and value local wisdom."
