About Steve

I am originally from Colorado. I moved to Seattle in 1993 and earned a BA in Economics from Seattle University in 1997. I earned my MA in Environment and Community from Antioch University Seattle in 2004. I have happily worked at the Center for Ethical Leadership since 1999. I was drawn to the Center for Ethical Leadership because of its commitment to supporting people who want to “do the right thing,” and think about a greater good than just themselves. I am primarily responsible for managing the administrative and operational functions of the organization, I am also involved with some of the planning, designing, and facilitation of several of the Center’s programs.

Together, these change agents are redesigning…

A Rural School District Rattles the Ivory Cage

Posted on February 13, 2013 at 10:30am 0 Comments

Great article from the Daily Yonder, written by Dr. Francisco Guajardo, about high-achieving students from rural schools rarely apply to prestigious colleges. Ivy League recruiters aren't looking for them. But a community in South Texas opened doors, sending its teenagers to top universities and bringing their talents back home.

Check it out!…
